Chopped, seasoned pork served sizzling on a cast-iron plate with calamansi, chili and a cracked egg. Filipino bar food at its most iconic — perfect for sharing.
Sisig is the dish that put Pampanga on the world's food map — and at Jeepney Winnipeg, we serve it true to tradition. Tender pork (shoulder with a bit of jowl for texture) is grilled over charcoal, finely chopped, and returned to a screaming-hot cast-iron plate with onions, chili, calamansi juice and a generous glug of soy sauce — all finished with a raw egg cracked tableside that cooks into the mix as you dig in.
Sisig is the Filipino 'pulutan' — food meant to be shared over cold drinks and good company — and our Friday and Saturday Karaoke Nights wouldn't be complete without plates of it hissing around the room. Order it with garlic rice for a full meal, or with friends for the complete Filipino late-night experience.
Saturday Regular
“Came for karaoke, stayed for the sisig. Sizzling, perfectly seasoned, generous portion. A Friday night regular for me now.”

Filipino Food Critic
“Properly chopped sisig — not mushy like at most places. The chili kick and the calamansi lift are exactly right. Best in Winnipeg.”

Weekend Diner
“The sizzling plate still hissing when it hits the table, the cracked egg, the fresh calamansi — this is how sisig should be served. Loved every bite.”
